Lactation Consultation and Education

Prenatal breastfeeding classes, breastfeeding assessment and support for mother and baby, home visits.

As a Certified Lactation Counselor, and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Marcia provides a full range of lactation education and support services including:

Home Visits ($85 for a 1 1/2 to 2 hour visit)

• Breastfeeding consultation, education and support
  
• Telephone or in-home support in the days and weeks following your baby's birth
• Breastfeeding classes
• Birth doula services include lactation consultation at no additional cost to families

Lactation packages for non-doula clients are available and include ($100):

• A breastfeeding class individualized to the client's needs and given during pregnancy
• Home visits with mother and baby to asses and provide support to mothers with lactation concerns
• Provide breastfeeding support following the birth.

Classes Offered:

Getting Started with Breastfeeding - a prenatal class to prepare you for the first weeks of nursing
Working and Breastfeeding - a class for working mothers who want to continue nursing their babies

Each class is 2.5 hours long and is offered in your home at your convenience.
